Eh? Whassat, RWTF? Or rather WTF? Into the sauce? I do not comprehend your post, at all. Mike None of us do, but we let him run with it. Electrons are cheap.

Whoa Nellie- this was Mr. New castle's turkey gun, until he decided to go to a 28 gauge. Two things way outta whack here- Turkeys are big tough birds, neck shots are the most humane- and what two gauges carry the most payload to insure that result?? No need to dig out the Cliff Notes, troopies, the answers are 12 Mag and 10 gauge--Any "showboated" optioned double like this NID, dragged through the woods for turkey hunting- makes me wonder- along with the 1 negative response the dealer has- 1 too many for me- But the, this is PA- strange State- anti-gun owning Gov. with lotsa lobbyists padding his pockets I hear- and even though my beloved USMC was founded at Tun's Tavern in Phila 10/Nov/1775- I have to wonder about a city like that so desperate to win a Super Bowl that they would make a person convicted of torturing God's finest four legged creation their starring quarterback- Sorta like seeing Charlie Manson QB-ing the raiders back in the day- instead of Southpaw Ken "The Snake" Stabler- life is strange. A friend just bought a Grade 2E NID 20- 28" std rib, single trigger, ejectors, later series without the snake titty cocking pins- NRA VG to better- all orginal, not refinished- paid $1200 for it- privately, not on Guns & Roses Brokerage LLC> You sir are a very strange person.

RWTF, Dave created the Misfires section primarily for you. Please post there and not here.

I love Ithacas but if that was a Parker the price would be in the sixth or seventh digits by now with about a couple hundred thousand bidders on it.

mc - +1 to your conclusion of RWTF.
eightbore - As of this posting I am high bidder, but still below sellers reserve. I usually avoid reserve auctions. They are a waste of time. Start auctions at $1.00 and let the market determine the value of an item.
RWTF - You are wrong. The seller has no negative feedbacks. He has one neutral feedback out of 377 transactions. It was a 'C' rating back in August, 2011. Think on this - You can please some of the people all the time. You can please all the people some of the time. But you cannot please all the people all the time. Alot of your posts are drivel and hard to follow.

Much of the Parker "mystique" that added to their "value" is that they did much more advertising than the others. As one classic gun writer said that there wasn't that much difference in all the American classics.

They have it priced at $7500 in the store with a little wiggle room, according to email I recieved. I am relitivly new at this. Only been aware of American double guns for 5 years or less. So you guys that have been at it for a long time, how many 5e Ithaca 20 gauge guns with 30" barrels have you seen for sale and sold at what price? My inqiuring mind would like to know. Also just what do you think this gun is worth? Regards, Bill

I think I'll know what it's worth when it sells. And the winner will probably only pay $100 more than the first loser. I think there's way more peace of mind buying such a gun at auction, rather than over the counter.
