Thursday evening, unlit garage, VERY close encounter of the 3rd kind with the 2" drop-hitch carelessly left assembled in the receiver of the F250's rear bumper. A little blood, a few obscenities, all-in-all not really too bad considering.

Friday evening, same time, same place, same characters, attempting to negotiate passage over a baby gate being used as a little-doggie gate. Knee swollen and painful but still operational. Armful of goodies including my new (to me) 1896 Krag rifle. Brief but quite violent struggle with the baby gate which the baby gate easily won by executing a rather decisive full-body slam.

You know, it COULDA been a lot worse! I mean, after all, just think about how bad that knee woulda looked if some of the 325-lb impact hadn't been absorbed by my ribs breaking against the Krag stock breaking against the floor!

Like I said, I can even walk a little bit now.....

And then Steve, MY BUDDY STEVE, just had to start talking about some kinda KARMA at work here!

Steve, I wanted SOOO BAAAD to tell you just where to stick all that Karma stuff but this is a nice forum so I controlled myself(!?). And anyway after a week of discussing KARMA, your chickens came home to roost when HojOe (HojOe!) won the book (grin).

RAOTFLMAO! Remember, no good deed goes unpunished!

I might even send you some more wood but it won't be any time soon, gotta have some recovery time!
Best, Joe
