Nice looking 20 on gunbroker until you look at the screws. Looks like it was just a little buggered. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=65705917Dark photos are a real problem but the gun looks decent. Not mine and no9t one I intend to buy. Still not one that I would throw out the truck window either.

Let me tell ya, it's a lot easier to replace some screws then something like the barrels or even the stock. I hate buggered up screw heads as much as anyone, especially on even high grades. Heck I'm just glad the gun hasn't seen Ed's torch!

Nice gun, a little worried 'bout why the screws got buggered..... would also be interested in how heavy it is?
Looks like it could be a nice gun.

That the last type of NID and the heaviest. It will probably go at least 6 1/2 pounds.. They are heavier than the model with cocking indicators.. Looks like avery nice gun.. MDC

Very strong case colors for a 1938 gun-the screw heads can be dealt with. It's not yet met the reserve.

Is that picture being taken on a grey painted concrete floor?
So many guns, so little time!

I'd say it's been refinished.

Looks right to me. It will be interesting to see what they go for. I may be a bidder. Thanks for the tip!

My guess is that the reserve is near $1,550.00. Been looking at my crystal ball for that number. If so, does it look like a bargin? Hard to tell with such fine photos. Still, I suspect the gun is a fair price if it is tight. I do not mind buying a well refinished gun even of the seller does not acknowledge it as refinished. Went with a girl once who had been refinished and that worked out well for a while.
