JDW--Thanks for your heads up on the process by which one would "index" the screw slot to the factory location.
I have purchased J. Stevens A. & T. Co. gun parts from Numrich in the past and the process can be a trial, but when one needs a part, the trial of dealing with them is secondary.
I enterred their web site this morning and placed an initial order for parts, one of which was their "Dog Head" pistol grip cap with two screw holes. I realize that such a piece would not be O.E.M. on the Field Grade, but perhaps it was made available on the upper grades. Can anyone confirm the factory use of the Dog Head cap?
