There is a wide variety of sporting rifles made after the war in Germany for the GIs. I keep thinking that someday I'll find one I like just to have an example.

Although the flat bolt handles might look out of place on a 1903 they don't seem to slow things down much.

A few makers like the Kirkwood brothers of Boston used a flat bolt handle and a cocking piece sight for rifles at were going to be used in a saddle scabbard.
