Been working on this one for a bitthere was some brazed extensions on the lower and upper tangs ( crude stock repair) that needed to be removed lots of metalwork around the trigger guard..dents all over the place, had to make all new screws still in the shaping stages but what do you think?...too much wood for the BE? Claudio, don't feel like you are locked into the less than interesting checkering pattern from catalog pictures. I have recently seen B Grades with a bit more artistic checkering patterns that I feel are factory original. Keep looking.

Bill, I have been looking but the most interesting pattern Ive seen is the one on Silvers gun I think I will do something along those linesmaybe vary the side panels a bit
Tut Ive seen that gun before I was hoping mine would turn out slightly betterI think the tool was a bit dull when they checkered that one The blank was one of those that worked out in reverse, it was not as fancy as a slab but the streaks got more elaborate as I whittled it down, cant complain about that, a bit of red colour will tone down the contrast somewhat and make it more age appropriate
What about a nice silver scutcheon/oval??

i'm waiting for the retired guy to post more pictures of that custom fox he's getting made and then I'll "pull them off this forum" and post on other forums with out saying who owns the pictures or the gun.
