Im back in Austin, arrived about 4:00pm yesterday. I had my first pheasant dinner last night. Pheasant Marsala with pasta, ummm so good! It gets even better; on the way home I stopped at a friends and traded some pheasant for some vacuum sealed frozen Alaskan halibut and salmon he caught recently. Pheasant, salmon, and halibut, I be eatin good over the holidays!
This was probably one of the best hunts Ive been on, plenty of game, great partners to hunt and party with after the hunt, a house full of drop-dead beautiful shotguns, a terrific host and hostess. It just doesnt get any better! I did all my hunting with my 5 lb, 16 gauge French guild gun. Nash Buckingham had Bo Whoop, I have my Frogger.
Because of personal issues at home, I havent been hunting or even done much shooting in 3 long years, what an incredible way to break the drought! I want to publicly thank everyone I met for a great time. You guys were all fantastic! There was not a single person in the entire group I wouldnt gladly hunt with again.
