Hi Tony,
Maybe start a project or two anyway. Pack it up with hints, instructions and notes of encouragement. Might bring a smile to a grown kids face thirty or forty years down the road, and be just the perfect project to work on with their kid.
Thoughts and prayers, Craig

Tony,
It is you that we should thank. Your gift of knowledge freely shared is surpassed only by the inspiration of your courage and strength. You and your family remain in my prayers and thoughts. All the best in the New Year. And, give some consideration to Craig's idea; it would be a great gift to your son in the future.

Hello Tony: The poet, Dylan Thomas, put it much better than I ever could:
Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
I read that poem to my youngest son when the doctors sent him home to die and I saw in his eyes the comfort that it gave him. Now, ten years later, he is in recovery and has recovered. I had lunch with him today. He has found and embraced his HIGHER POWER and gives all glory to the GOD who made him and who made us all.
There is a lot of LOVE for you here on this forum and prayers are being offered and I am sure ARE BEING HEARD! Happy New Year to you and your family and many more to come.
George

Happy New Year, Tony,
one thing that is good about this bloody world is that you never know. One can drop dead next minute, or can go on for years, who's to tell? Just last night I was reading "Zorba the Greek" and stopped at the scene where Zorba tells how he came to a village and saw a 90-year-old man planting an almond tree. "I live as if I should never die", explained the old man, to which Zorba replied: "And I live like I could die any moment", and then asks which approach to life is more correct. I don't know if there is an answer to this question, but it's the people who plant almond trees who make the world go round, and you're one of them. So do take another project or two, and may your days, no matter the number, be filled with thing that bring you joy. This wish, to think of it, can be addressed to any and all of us!

Tony - The strength you've shown this past year, the projects you've taken on (and completed), the hunting excursions with your lovely wife, your son, your daughter, all the smiles and uplifting moments you've shared with us in the photos, your firm embrace on LIFE, disease be damned.........the word "courageous" does not even begin to scratch the surface of your mettle.
You've deeply impacted every conscious member of this site; all the prayers and thoughts of love shot into the air in hopes of making a difference is sheer testimony of this.
We're blind to the fight you wage every second of every day, every second of every long night, still we tell you to keep fighting. Aw shit, Tony, it's 3 in the morning and I don't know what to say except to inanely beg you to stick around.
I'm going outside now to stare into the cold night air and try to catapult my heart over the sea to you.

Tony, I have never met you but you are a good man. I know that by what you post here.
PLEASE take on several projects immediately. A future focus is a curative factor. I dont post this without due thought, Please commence some new projects now.
I will send you a gun for restoration (however I do it) if you dont want to outlay money and I will pay your suggested rate up front for such work. I post this seriously, and hope you take it as such.

Just one day at a time and one gun at a time. Keep chipping away at it Tony. You're bigger and better than the beast.
Practice safe eating. Always use a condiment.
