Interesting. I once was pulling up on a pheasant at a preserve while wearing gloves and had my right index finger on the rear trigger while the right thumb was pushing the safety forward. Unknowingly to me, the gloved finger had a bit more force on the rear trigger then I thought (new gloves). When the safety came off, the gun fired before it got to my shoulder. Fortunately the gun barrel was well up in the air and approaching the bird when it happened (I actually hit the bird, but low). Below the bird at the time was my then 2 year old Golden who had just flushed it. Something really bad could have happened. The gloves came off after that and were replaced with a much thinner pair. Lesson learned and fortunately it wasn't a painful one.
