Ninepointer. The stag head cups are what are known here as Stirrup Cups and a small drink would be handed out to the riders prior to setting off on the hunt. In this case more than likely a Stag hunt which was common in Devon and Somerset until that beastly Tony Blair made it illegal. The stag hunts do still exsist but work on a different style. They used to ride to hounds and the hounds would pick out the stag that was to be culled and bring it to bay where it would be shot.
