There is an Alex Henry .360 double rifle in the Westley ads that was made for the Maharaj Rana of Dholpur cased with reloading tools that was about $900.00 back then. A dealer now has the same rifle on his sight for over $30,000!

I guess what I'm getting at is, have the prices gotten way overblown, or are they in keeping with the ratio back then?

It was spectacular and is easily a $14,000 rifle now. It was truly a 90%+ original finish rifle. An average car back then was about $3500 if I can remember right. That car today would be about $25,000 given the same options. The car is a 7.14 times increase and the Holland a 6.39 times increase.
