I don't think there is anything that gets bird hunters going more than chokes. For pheasant I use a 12G IC and Full with 1-1/4 oz No6 in the right and 4s or 5s in the left barrel. (As an aside, I have a friend who hunts every weekday from October to March at a private club. He uses a 12GA with one ounce of No 4s with IC choke.) For quail and grouse I use a 16 with cylinder and modified, No. 7-1/2 65mm RSTs. For waterfowl I use 3.5 inch steel BBs and I don't shoot unless I can see an eye. At least with water birds I have an automatic with a third shell aboard.
