This is a very beautiful gun and the present discount offers are a REAL deal; I own one of the RBLs though so I am not looking for another shotgun. Also I note that CSMC has apparently made an oversight and only put one trigger on the gun.

I just spoke with a gentleman from CSMC. He said these new guns are not built on Rizzini actions. They are 100% American made (perhaps copies?). In terms of styling, they were modeled after the Round Action O/U from David McKay Brown of Scotland.

They both share many similar features... sideribs over the forend, similar action shaping, same engraving pattern, similar stock shapes, and checkering patterns, and the long tang (w/ similar shaping)

These are the real David McKay Brown O/Us









If I could get the ideal Inverness, it would be a 28ga w/ 30" bbls, solid ribs, capped pistol grip on an upgrade piece of Turkish walnut. What a nice dove gun that would be!

Dear god, I see this as I give my guns to family. Growing old takes courage, knowing when to close. Teasing as above is torture. One forgives because it is in good faith.

Adam, I like long tangs, too. However, Tony charges $700 for his.

Not sure if this is what you meant, eight bore, but I think the $700 is for the long trigger tang on the straight grip, not the long top tang.

There must be something very special about this long tang that justifies a $700 upcharge. Maybe it's very very long.

The McKay Brown is a magnificent shotgun.

And the McKay Brown ( which I would nearly commit a veeery large felony to have ) costs twenty, thirty or forty times as much.

Each tang is individually hand filed from unobtanium and then its harmonics are cryogenically computer balanced prior to immersion in deionized holy water.
