Gentlemen, I am not concerned with lengthening the stock, I am simply trying to get opinions on it's originality for possible resale...might make a difference to a potential buyer. This stock (and forend) ain't from just any ol' Sterlingworth---it's from an Ejector Pin Gun---probably less than 400 of these were produced.

Pic of the butt with the pad removed, 2 7/8" hole spacing. The reversed "4370" numbers are an imprint from numbers applied to the inside base of the pad.

I don't see the duplicator marks, but if anything was added after it left the factory, you would most likely see other holes,

This is from a Grade 2E L.C. Smith, showing the duplictor marks. The hole you see is lead filled from the factory giving this gun a weight of 9 lbs. with 30" barrels. Shipped with a rubber butt plate.

Red Head pad? I would put it right back on there. It looks good and the fit is good.
