Apparently the majority of doublegun people disagree with ya'll about the looks and handling. The troubled twenty gauge that started this thread went for $5200. About what a D grade Parker twenty or C grade Fox small bore in similar condition would go for. And come on out to the club and shoot a couple of hundred clays with 1-1/8 oz of 7-1/2s (to get your score up) with that six pound grouse gun. Or live pigeons with 1-1/4 ounce at 1400 fps. Ya'll wouldn't disparage my Ford Expedition because it doesn't handle as well as your Jaguar. They weren't built for the same thing. Now that I put that ya'll straight please refrain from criticizing 21s function or aesthetics in the future.
I am glad to be here.

21's are the Kathy Bates of shotguns, no matter the gauge. The more dressed up 21's....the Glenn Close of shotguns.

I didn't know who Kathy Bates was and had to go to Google: The 21s aren't dykey, they are intellectual and manly, like Ernest Hemingway. Best, Mike

Kathy Bates not intellectual or manly? I beg to differ. :-) I was thinking along the lines of...she's not the best looking gal, she's robust, durable, heavy, probably could take a good pounding and looks to be built to last. With the exception of looks.. all good admirable qualities. See, I pretty much just described a freekin 21 didn't I??? :-) Now, I prefer my shotguns to be more Kate Beckinsale-ish.
Best, Dustin

Oh well, the lead, the horse and the water bit. I am tired of trying to help you guys and am going to go straighten out Jim and Keith in the "Moved Topic" thread.
Best,
Mike

That was weird. I had managed to post a picture of a shirtless Hemingway holding a shotgun and it worked fine. Now it doesn't.

My 28" 16 ga. with pretty wood, straight grip, splinter and solid rib makes me think of handling Doutzen Kroes.
