The most direct answer I can give is that we're all a mass of contradictions. I don't think a person can be labelled by the church they go to, organizations they belong to, parties they vote for. I believe this applies equally to Americans and Canadians. I conditionally approve of abortion, am against capital punishment for starters. I wouldn't invite any of the GOP candidates to dinner except that wonderful whacky man of character Ron Paul. The only person I always wanted to meet is Muhammed Ali. I've been voting lately for the left-of-centre New Democratic Party and help the Conservative MP in my constituency and will do what I can to make him prime minister. I have never voted Liberal, period. When I look for assistance on social and natural resource management issues I don't want to be seen as anything other than what I am: willing to wash their feet if they'll work with me in the muck to get the job done while others soar like cherubs on silver wings in the heavens.
