I looked at a Remington 1900 with ejectors today. It was a 12 gauge with 26" barrels. The tubes touched at the muzzles but the chokes were only about 1 1/2" long. There was very little choke in the right barrel, about 3 or 4 points, and the left was about .705. Could the barrels be cut and still touch? Were there many Remingtons with 26" barrels?

Otherwise the gun was really nice with 90% damascus, 60% case and nice uncut, no cracks, good finish wood.

The ejectors worked well and the bores are perfect. What is this gun worth?

Dick: there doesn't seem to be alot of interest in the 1900's as far as I can tell. I had one recently, sounds similar, with 28" barrels but without ejectors. Bores perfect, chambers untouched but with tight chokes. That went at auction, third time around for about $500. With the shorter barrels and ejectors yours might fetch $550 or so, maybe $100 more with the longer barrels.

And, yes, I think the barrels could have been cut and still be touching at the muzzle.

Hi Most all Remington double, the model 1894 (in lower grades) and the model 1900 with 26in. barrels are cut. The 1900 was offered with 26in. in the last year or two of production but in steel barrels only. There are some early one's with 26in. barrels but not many. In over 30 years at looking at the model 1900 at gun show's etc all of the model 1900 that I have looked at with 26in. barrels were cut.
