Krags area confusing bunch to me too.
I think it's actually a Model 1892 Krag with a 1894 dated receiver. Most '92s are dated 1894 for some reason.

I'd guess it was an Antique too, but there always remains the discussion of wether alterations to an original Antique pre-1899 firearm removes it from the no paperwork (in most locations) status.
Many FFL's opt for a license copy before the altered gun gets shipped.
