That story is a gem! I am familiar with that part of Augusta (I think you were talking about the old part of town many of us refer to as "The Hill". I am tempted to ride around up there one day and see if I can find a place that resembles the entrance as you described it. You must have lived near Augusta to have written so vividly about it.

I have lived my whole life less than an hour from Augusta, and the kind of people you wrote about I grew up with. Please keep writing.
