Be wary of Spanish imports of lesser quality. They had a reputation for having "soft steel". Some did not hold up in constant use. Heavy triggers, doubling and ejection issues develop if they get off face.
I had one that did not like to open after about 10 shots in the blind. It was a "Pride of Spain". I sent it off down the road but not before warning the buyer of its shortcomings.
With your budget you should be able to find a Beretta if you look hard enough. I replaced the Pride of Spain with a Stoeger imported "Zephyr Heavy Goose" made by made by Victor Sarasqueta for Stoeger in the 50's. It is a true sideock of decent quality with a lot of not so high quality engraving.
