OP David Williamson Sidelock Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 3,862 Likes: 123 Eastern Pa	The bottom plate is 1/2" thick. The rod holders are 3" high and are 1 1/2" diameter. I made them from aluminum. There is a counterbored hole in the bottom plate and the bases of the rods are held by a 1/4" allen head cap screw. The rods are held in by a 5/16" set-screw. Like stated in the pictures the hardest part is the machining to take the brass rod which is milled on an angle so that it can be pinned to the rod and still move. it has to be flush to the rod when compressed.
