That's right. If I ask a question here and get a correct answer then I and perhaps 30 other readers get the answer at the same time. And we arwe grateful for the assistance Also my name is Bonner, Larry's is Brown, I'm from Manitoba, Larry's from Iowa, so why are you too cowardly to give your name and I'm sure you are not from the train station just North of Holland's factory on Harrow Road.
If you don't like this post, too bad, your snotty and condescending attitude got right up my nose, old bean.

Larry;
I'm feeling a little on the lazy side & willing to let someone else do my work. Do you recall off-hand without me having to dig out my proof books, what shot charge the 3¼" shell was proofed for. As I recall you are entirely correct the 3" shell was proofed for a 1½oz load but just don't remember the 3¼" one. I don't think they were near as common as the 3" length anyway.
My comments were aimed soley at the possibilities of the LC mark. In all probability you were 100% correct in your identification of the chamber in question.

2-Piper, odds are certainly way in favor of that gun being 3", but it's always worth noting that the LC mark meant 3" or longer. Unfortunately, I can't find anything on shot charge for the 3 1/4" guns.

Thanks again all, this gun does indeed have 3" chambers.
