OP improved modified Sidelock Joined: May 2006 Posts: 810 Likes: 15 Deseret, Territory of Utah	I need to darken some engraving on a Browning O/U. It is steel that has been chrome plated (silver nitride). I have heard that some members use jeweler's ink for this application, but cannot find a source on it. Does anyone know of a source,or is there another simple way to darken the valleys of the engraving? Thanks -Shoot Straight, IM

Rookhawk Sidelock Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 707	I use India Ink repeatedly. Apply, dry, wipe. Repeat. After 3-4 coats and wipe aways you get that nice dark accent to engraving details.
