When my wifes cancer became untreatable in Illinois she and I moved to Texas so she could be treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Being a gun owner shooting enthusiast in Illinois was a problem. In Texas people with guns are definitly "good folks" and in general Texans are great friendly people. Unfortunately, I can't say too much for the upland hunting opportunities here, unless you have deep pockets.
