I don't know what he's talking about. Every English gun case I have has covers on some of the compartments, albeit some more than others.

The stock and barrel are all open in every case, no covers for those. But there are covers on the compartments for the added goodies, being wads, powder/shot flasks, turnscrews, etc.

I've always assumed that if one compartment doesn't have a cover (other than the stock and barrel)it must have somehow gotten lost or broken along the way. We're talking about cases well over 100 years old, after all.

The only difference from the HUEY case is that none of mine have the little round brass "handles". Is THAT what the guy is referring to? Anyway, the HUEY case for the H & H does look very nice.
