And I believe the reason he turned down the Keystone pipeline is that the total CO2 emissions for a gallon of gasoline at the pump made from tar sands is about twice that of crude oil(because of extraction and refining energy usage).

If you have a friend in management at the local generating plant or power company ask them. I would like to know. What I posted was not in the newspaper but from a friend.
