I disagree. When shooting, our line of sight is established by stock style/dimensions, your body configuration, and shooting style. The relationship of the bore centerline to the line of sight is established by the rib/bore centerline.
Not true - the rib/bore relationship has nothing to do w/ the bore/line of sight relationship. Draw a line from bore center - draw a line of sight - stick a rib (or none) in there anywhere you like and it changes nothing so long as it does not intrude on the LoS. The rib may be used as a handy reference but it has no effect on the other two. I may not be saying that well but the rib is not a "sight" per se.
