Thank you all for the cautionary and procedural advice but I already have the history of the gun established firmly. I will be in NYC very shortly and can ask them to look, but I have copies of the original correspondence with H&H regarding this gun.

What I was really wondering about was if there's a known problem with Royals from this era (other than it's 108 years old and has all the attendant age-related stuff) as opposed to say, a post-war or between-the wars gun?
