Hi. Does anyone know of a source where I might be able to get a left hammer for a JN Scott Shotgun ? Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

If I had a photo of the RH hammer with some dims I might be able to help you out. I have a cigar box full of hammers from various side-by-sides- also sears, springs, bridles, stirrups, Roy Rogers lariats- well- OK- maybe not those--

Try Peter Dyson, in the UK He has hammers indeed. Perhaps you can but a pair from him, rather than trying to match one.

I have a small supply of vintage hammers from guns scrapped in the UK (25 or so). I am bringing them all to the Southern SxS in Sanford NC at the end of the month.
There is alot of variation in the hammers. The last 2 times someone needed a hammer, I had them mail me the good hammer or bits of the broken hammer. No promises, only a fair try to find a match.
PM me if you want to try or meet up in Sandford.
Are you also needing a hammer screw?

You need the exact measurement from the center of the hammer screw to the center of the hammer face. Also the measurement from the inside flat on the hammer to the center of the firing pin. Easier to say than to visualize, I assume.
