Holy sheepsh@t - that is astonishing. The way that cat came out of the high grass and was on top of that elephant before your could blink - I hope the protocol back in the day was that you hunted with your safety off.
I would be interested to know the injury/fatality rate among Victorian tiger hunters - seeing that video, I have to imagine more than a few froze at the moment of truth.
Anyone read The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival - awesome story about the tiger version of Jason Bourne. The first guy that got sideways with this tiger was a poacher using a 16 ga. single shot with 50-year old #6 loads - talk about bringing a knife to a gun fight!
