Attached are some images of a Combination Gun (410/22 lr) with German proof marks. The barrels are marked ACO inside a L shaped bracket at the breach. Is this the maker? On the underside of the barrels there are two three digit numbers 430 and 706. Am I correct that the gun was submitted for proof in April 1930? If so what do the 706 numbers signify? April 1930 is correct for the proof date at the Zella-Mehlis facilty. The 706 number notes it was the 706th for that month and it was proofed in the final state. I'd like to see a better image of the encircled letters above the 10.8m/m stamp as it looks like the Belgian ACL?
Kind Regards,

Raimey, Thank you for your response. It looks to me that the right barrel is stamped 10.45mm Above this there are three stamps (crown over S,B,U). the circle looks like it contains the number 44. On the left barrel above the 5.3mm stamp are the crown over G,B,U. What tells you that the proof was done in Zella-Mehlis and in the final state ? Otto

Otto, the "Crown" over "B" notes final state and the ledger number notes Zella-Mehlis. Ah, the encircled 44 is the gauge designation. Hum, I wonder if 10.45mm equate to 44 bore?

Raimey, Thanks again. The shotgun barrel is chambered for the 410 shell and 10.45 mm translates to .411". Like wise 22 lr barrel is marked 5.3 mm which is .209". Otto
