I think others have expressed my sentiments pretty well so I'll leave it at remembering a couple weeks ago when someone posted about an interesting, obscure old Brit hammergun and what came to mind first and what I posted was that it was something Tony would have loved.
I had, have and will have a lot of respect for him.
I suppose the best way we can deal with the loss we feel when someone like Tony leaves is to remember him and honor his memory by doing the best we can at whatever it is we do. I know that I take along the memory of a good friend and hunting buddy who was killed - run down - while we were at college. Every time I go hunting I think of him and take him along. I think in future Tony will be going partridge hunting with me - AFAIK he never did get to see Maine, let alone hunt The Drummer. I think he would have enjoyed it immensely.
As to our jOe, I'll just note that Sesame Street wouldn't be nearly as entertaining - and probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it has - without Oscar the Grouch.
