I'm looking for someone who could engrave a ribbon with a small amount of simple scroll on each end and a 5 letter name in the ribbon. Probably 1" x 1/4" and similar to the maker name on the action of some English boxlocks. Don't want to spend a lot of money. Anyone have a name? Thanks.

I had ther local jeweler put my initials on my RBL trigger guard (straight stock) He is also a wholesaler and they used a computor controlled machine to do it. Cost $5/ letter. Perhaps your local jeweler could help you? This guy's machine was as good or better than the machined RBL engraving.

There is a chain of "gift shop engravers" in our area, maybe more widespread. I can't think of the name of the shops, but they are mostly in malls. They will engrave anything. I googled "gift engraving" and came up with our local stores, Things Remembered. From their website, it seems they may be a national chain. Depending on how busy and who is working, you may luck out.

Contact my friend Bill Bennett, here in New Mexico. His work is superb at BbacktoB@comcast.net. The only issue I/he would have is cutting case-hardened steel, it has a very, very tough skin.

I had a unnamed 12 gauge hammer gun with a Lefaucheaux break action that shot for a while at SXS meets. People would always ask me what it was so finally I had JABC engraved in large letters on both locks. Of course I did it as a joke and I remember it didn't cost much, maybe $30 total. The engraver used a computer controlled setup. Steve It actually was a Belgium made gun and Just Another Belgium Clunker described it perfectly.
