GUYS: I have a chance to buy one mint,it could almost could pass for NIB [one small scratch on stock] for $600 is this a truly good buy? Also does anyone know how they are for accuracy,reliability and what MODEL 48 and 57 LYMAN PEEP SIGHT WILL FIT IT? Thanks Jerry

If it's as you describe, it's a very good buy. If you don't jump on it somebody else will, and probably quickly.

It's a matter of taste, but I would much rather have a nice Lyman tang sight or one of the Win 98A peeps that fit into the middle of the bolt than a 48 or 57 on the side.

I suggest the Marbles Tang Peep Sight over the Lyman. It has windage adjustments.

Don's right; the Lyman is OK on a one-load, mid-range hunting rifle. For a gun nut, it's a pain.

One of the MVA 130 series tang sights are even nicer for gun nuts.
