So to clarify. These large importing fees, and extra work using a importer, licenses...etc. are just for importing modern (post 1898 guns)? As far as I have always understood you can have a pre-1898 gun shipped directly to your house from anywhere in the world. I have not imported one yet, but some clarification would be nice since I do have my eye on a couple pre-98's in an upcoming UK auction.
