I have to agree with Jack and Jim. It reminds me of years ago when I got into an argument about building my home. I didn't do the actual building, but I did make up the blueprints and had the house built and finished to my specifications. Therefore it was CUSTOM-MADE. The person arguing with me said that since he had moved into a subdivision that had every third house on the street the same and was built six months before he even saw it, that his was custom built, too. Uh, OK. If you say so...... When you ordered a Model 21 and it was built to your specs, it had "Custom made by Winchester for......" engraved right on the barrels. It was made to their specs. That was right after they had Custom Built, etc. Getting a gun from the factory and having a gunsmith shave off the cheekpiece is like calling "This Old House".
