Michael, I believe that's a powder horn.

By 1924 Fred Adolph was about at the end of his time in the public view as a gunmaker. It would not be long before he lost both his business and home.

The sporting press would not carry his ads anymore so his only form of advertising was to send out fliers.


That sounds pretty dismal...what happened to Adolph that he suffered such a reversal of fortune? I don't have your book handy to refer to.
