No, I won't dress you down, Ted--although all the Cabela's I've been in have at least "a bit" of 16ga ammo. And if you can't find it at Cabela's, when it comes to hunting or fishing, you probably can't find it anywhere--unless it's something really exotic like 2" 12ga shells.
But honestly, other than relatively frequent deals with their Gun Library guys and stuff I see marked down, I don't buy much from them either. I will say, however, that they stand behind what they sell. Took in a couple spinning reels I'd bought from them a couple years previously; had minor problems, figured they'd probably fix them. They gave me two new reels. Try that at Wal-Mart. And while it's true I am an outdoor writer, I don't write about fishing any more, and the guys in the fishing dept don't know me from Adam.
