I own a JP Sauer&sons Drilling 12 Ga 8x57Jr from 1927 in exellent condition. Anyone know what a gun like that could be worth Approx +-

Froderik, next to actually looking at the gun in person, photos are the best way to get estimates of worth. There are too many unknowns with the info you have given. i.e. boxlock or sidelock, hammer or hammerless, scoped or not. We need lots more info. Good luck.

It depends on grade.
Jani, I never saw S&S drilling 1927 in exellent condition for $2,000 in Europe. Starts from 3,000 Euros.

Geno: Me neighter - not exactly 1927. But I bought a very good 1953 S&S Drilling recently for $1.5K so my guess is an excellent one could be found for around $2K. And by the way mine had a Nickel variable scope in claw mounts included. - Jani

I think that a boxlock that is nearly new condition should bring $2500; $3000 with a good claw-mount scope. Add $1000 or more for a sidelock and more for elaborate engraving, sidelocks, cartridge traps, etc. Remember to use 8X57JR (.318) cartridges in pre-war guns.
