A while ago I asked board members for advice on how to clean engraving without causing any damage to the colour case hardening. Several replys suggested that John Foster Gunmakers was the best person to contact for this kind of work. John Foster himself posted a reply offering his services. After a quick phone call I delivered the guns to Johns premises in Stockton on Tees to be stripped down, cleaned and serviced. Today I collected the guns back from John and here are some photographs of the completed work.
Needless to say I am delighted with the work.
