Being an early riser, when nature called at 4:15 AM I just stayed up. This old gun really has my curiosity piqued.

I slugged the bore and it is not a 9.3. By my best measurements it is .413-.415 groove diameter and .395 bore diameter. By using an online metric conversion table that comes to 10.55 or there abouts. Chamber cast will have to wait until later today but the case appears to be a bottleneck.

This old thing is really tight to the face and the Jones underlever snicks beneath the trigger guard like it is new.

The 16 bore barrel has 6 main, almost Heny style straight riflings and between each of those are 6, lesser almost Henry style straight riflings.
