Ah!! The good old days when large cities wern't the cesspools of anti-gun activity that they are now.
How many of you remember that Marshall Fields had a very upscale firearms department in their Michigan Avenue location? John Amber managed it at one time.
Or do you remember when Abercrombie & Fitch was a real mens sporting goods store and was nothing like the abomination it is today?
VonLengerke and Detmold had large stores in both New York and Chicago at one time as I remember it.
I guess we've experienced some real "progress" here.
Here's the A&F 1940 catalogue: Their current catalogue wouldn't be suitable to post here.
