I picked up the square blanks from Joe D out of the classifieds. This one one was cut to fit a customers gun using our CNC mill. I am thinking of making up a bunch to some standard sizes.

We made gripcaps this week too. I'll have to look to see what I can put together.

SKB, I am not sure what you mean by "standard sizes".

Daryl, we will settle on a couple of "standard" sizes, similar to what Max McFarland has done with the steel buttplates he offers. Of course this plates can be ground to fit a smaller butt.

does 95$ with 2 screws for a buttplate, and 40$ for a grip cap with a single screw sound fair?

Steve, you gotta realize up front that I'm an old geezer (CHEAP old geezer at that! grin) now retired on a fixed income, but I find those prices to be somewhat out of reach, for me at least.
Now if the grip caps were already machined in a sunburst pattern and if the buttplates already had a similar treatment that was more attractive than the rather plain horizontal lines, I'd be a LOT more interested! Regards, Joe
