Just started getting a pierced primer on one (left) barrel in my double. Not bad but there are soot marks in the primers firing pin detent.

Shotgun is a well made pre war Austrian double, 16 ga, with low round count, proofed steel barrels.

Shells are Westley Richards Classic Game, 2 , #7 with 7/8 oz shot.

Firing pin protrusion is .0485 (L), .047 (R). So .0015 deeper on the offending chamber.

No obvious burrs or sharp edges on the firing pin.
Again, gun locks up tight,

Thoughts?
