It's a super cartridge, IMO an even better all-around certridge than the 257 Roberts. I'm an enthusiastic user of the 6.5x55, 6.5-257 and 6.5-06 and at one time shot a nice little Mauser 6.5x57 but not the rimmed version.
I found the RWS 6.5x57 brass to have too-shallow primer pockets and too-small flash holes. In addition I found it to be softer than some US brass, sometimes by quite a bit. I machined the primer pockets and flash holes but eventually much of the soft RWS brass had to be discarded. As always YMMV.
