Hello,
An Austrian percussion gun from c. 1865 seems to be engraved on the barrel something like P.P.OHRTER ...(can't be sure due to corrosion and poor lightning). Any clues? Raimey?
With kind regards, Jani

Sorry no pictures, just my old notes from a museum. I'm just checking if anybody happen to have any idea about the name on it. With kind regards, Jani

Jani: Sorry, for the time I can't make a name just yet. Can you give the number of letters in the name?
Kind Regards,
Raimey rse

Raimey, I see it as a 6-letter name, following by a shorter word (4 letters?), probably of a place/town. Of course I suspected Wien, but the letters are too faint to be sure.
With kind regards, Jani
