Please convey our best when you get the chance, J.R. You can tell him its from two guys from Dallas that he says even sound alike.
He and Joanne are obviously not taking any calls (understandable) because I have tried both cell nos. today without answer. Melinda did tell me that he may go home tomorrow (Fri. 9/14), so he should be doing pretty good. I plan to go up in a week or two and visit. Will pass along all the good wishes. JR

Spoke with Steve about two o'clock this afternoon. He sounded good but a little weak, as you would expect. He is at home and expressed thanks to all the guys here who have voiced their concerns and well-wishes. He says a change in life style is in place already.

All the best to Steve for a speedy recovery. I was at the Orvis Game Fair in Millbrook, New York today and Steve was sorely missed by many friends there. Everyone wishes him well.

If someone will wear a Hawaiian shirt and shorts and sport a cigarette at the Vintagers, I will do the same at the Fall Southern if Steve is still recovering. At a recent side by side event, another vendor and I took over for Steve and dressed the part and it was well received. We even sold a gun or two. Bill Murphy

Sorry to hear. Is shop is less than 50 miles "as the crow flies". He is one of the "good ones" and I wish him a speedy recovery!
