I would like to thank those Panhandle guys ,Joe, Mike et al for the cooler temps and the big flight of Northern Doves they have recently sent us here on the Southern Rolling Plains..... I was out of state, ideling away at a Flyer shoot over the weekend and delighted to return to the ranch to find the highlines sagging under the weight of new migrants....
I have given them ample opportunity to humilitate me completely for the last three days ,but I remain undaunted and am going out the door now, to a feild across the road from the headquarters, where I will again try to salvage a little of my self respect with a F&F 20 bore.... It is the beginning of the BEST time of the year.....

Joe and I are due no credit. We shot all the ones that flew by us.
I am glad to be here.

Practice safe eating. Always use a condiment.

In west central Ohio, I am still waiting. They must have went west of us. So far only the local birds seem to be here. Dove hunting is just way too much fun. Glad you have the chance to have all this fun!

The Euro-trash has not been around here or if they have everyone has been missed. With my son and others we have killed and recovered well above a thousand birds with no Eurp birds yet. I understand that they tend to stay in town areas and are less often seen where dove are shot.

May God bless America and those who defend her.
