If breaking the maximum number of targets was the goal: 1. you wouldn't chose a .410 2. refer to 1.
If you are shooting a .410 because it is more challenging and therefore, more fun, a tight choke will make it that much more fun.
If you are seeking to beat your friends at .410 skeet, cylinder in both barrels will get you more dead clay targets.

A very capable choke and barrel guy told me a few years ago that, for a .410, choke should be either Full or Skeet. He thought any choke in between those extremes was a waste of effort.

we go on these quail shoots in South Georgia every year (my employer takes us). I call them shoots cause it's def not hunting. pen raised birds. there is one guy that always takes a little 410 auto and gets 50 birds every time we go (it's one 4 hour afternoon and the next morning for about 4 hours and 50 is the limit the host wants anyone to take). I usually use a 28 and get about 40 or so. I've taken a 410 twice and usually get 25 or 20. It's the shooter not the gun.

I just purchased an LC Smith .410 choked full and fuller. Shooting it on the skeet range was a hoot, and you either smoked them or you missed. I was thinking that I could buy some spreader loads to test, to see if that made any appreciable difference. In any event, I am not thinking of opening the chokes any, as I think the tighter chokes will improve my shooting abilities.

Any remember the big ol' southern guy on hunting shows who used nothing but a double 410 SXS from quail to phez. He was about 6' 4" and probably about 300 lb. Don't think I ever saw him miss. He would turn to the camera and say "How's that for a four teeen?"

But, I thought it was a .410 O&U that he carried. http://outdoorchannel.com/Shows/UltimateOutdoors/Hosts.aspx

I would caution against cylinder choke for the .410. There simply aren't enough pellets to make it a capable killer of game, or of clays. .005 is about the minimum choke necessary to get decent breaks. In fact briley considers .005 as Skeet. Most .410's are choked modified, even when they say that they are "Skeet". I wouldn't go below .005 myself. I have an AYA with .25 choke as measured. That's supposed to be "extra full", but it works exceptionally well at Sporting Clays targets of various distances. Again, that small bore is very susceptible to small changes in constriction and changes in ammunition.
