Mike, I have purchased two subgauge "bumper jacks" (jOe's words) from the Upper Sandusky folks. A 20 gauge TurkeySlayer and the 28 gauge M37. Both are quality made in the old Ithaca (pre-1960s) mode. Fit and finish are excellent. The 20 gauge is heavier than the early models because of thicker barrel made for Briley chokes. My 28 gauge has been back to Upper Sandusky twice. Once for ejection issues and recently the safety had issues. Both matters were promptly resolved at no expense to me. If I were in your shoes looking for a light field 20 gauge pump, I'd look for a pre-1960s gun. I have one (1957) that weighs 5.875 lbs. The newer one is 6.8 lbs. New 16 gauge, 7.4 lbs vs. 6.25 for the older gun. The 28 gauge is 6 even. Mine is standard metal with a wood upgrade. The gun comes with a thick recoil pad which is unnecessary but there is no choice in the matter. Gil
